I've watched it a second time and it damn near killed me. The final Doctor Donna scene in the Tardis is just awful when you know what's coming and you can see the slow realisation in her eyes. I would agree with the best actress comment - she was magnificent. Before I watched Who and I heard that she'd been cast, I was unconvinced and thought it a bit off. But she is fantastically talented.
She's real and you're just right there with her. She can pull emotions out the bag and have it be the emotion defining moment of the episode without being over the top. That could just be me though, because I love to rewatch an episode just to see a specific moment of terrific acting.
Man, I'm full of superlatives today... What'd you think of the Rose and the human Doctor situation? I thought Piper handled the confused/torn stuff well. I know there are some out there screaming 'How could she fall for it? He's not the real Doctor?'
