I just watched the new Family Guy on last night in the US. Terribly offensive but incredibly hilarious Britney parody

She is actually going mental. Hope someone does something before we the headlines are screaming suicide. I'm still a Britney loyalist at my age. She made good pop songs, I didn't condemn her for getting wasted re: breakup of her marriage. That's what people our age do for Christs sake

In other news, new L word and I still love my robot assassin/gay soccer mom. This series is so more coherent than last years shambles.

Now writing play stuff.. trying to get it done..

Just watched the "third" promo again and think may have put together a good guess

Breakdown

1. At the beginning we see Addison telling Derek "you do not get to break down, you do not get to fall apart." He's wearing a jumper and shirt. He's changed clothes.

2. The very next bit after that is Derek (almost 100% certain its Derek) in surgical gear with the head eye glasses on.

3. Not long after there's a clip of Mark and Derek. I'm guessing it's in the scrub sinks in the OR as there's a window behind them and wasn't behind the wall outside the trauma room. (however it may be a different angle) They both look worried and anxious (I would say) but Derek isn't in tears.

4. About halfway through you see Addison talking to Izzie, George and Cristina. Pause it/watch it slowly. Look at all their faces. No one's grief stricken, no one's crying or out of control. They are all patiently listening.

5. The spine-tingling "Try Again!" command from Cristina looks like it's in the trauma room where we left Meredith.

Therefore the theory goes:

I think Richard, Burke, Bailey (you see all their faces accepting defeat in the trauma room outfits/surroundings) are giving up on Meredith. Cristina and perhaps Izzie. George, Alex burst in. Cristina forces/helps them to revive Meredith.

She stabilises. They run tests to find out the extent of her injuries.

Meredith needs brain surgery. The only one (of course - which I and I'm sure tons others thought of before as part of the whole knight-in-shining-whatever thing) who can do it is Derek. He will have to perform brain surgery on Meredith, aided by Mark (now we know he has neuro skills). I would guess at this is where the interns and Addison clip comes in with her telling them what has to be done with surgery.

The Addison&Derek clip is when he knows he has to go in on Meredith and she's getting him to pull it together to save her life. Note change of clothes for Derek. This has to be after a significant period of time after as I'm sure Derek wouldn't run away and change his outfit because he was cold and wet.

Then Mark and Derek in scrubs are waiting in the scrub sink area for surgery to begin. We've seen a clip of Surgeon Specs Derek.

And Voila.

Whether they choose to kill her during surgery, I would still vote doubtful as it's Meredith, but if it was any other guest/recurring character, that would be such an awesome twist.

Anyway, that's my sleuthing done. I'm just going to go build a time capsule ala Cartman to transport me through to Friday morning

However I think somehow Ellis Grey comes into this, and she's the Grey that dies...not Meredith. Then Meredith wakes up and Derek comforts her once she finds out and Mark is there with them, Burke and Cristina, Callie and George (He would understand all to well)and Izzie believed so she's hiding and Addison finds her and ....oh sorry I got carried away. BTW sorry for crashing your LJ

I'm in denial about the spin off...How will Addy and Izzie get together if Addy is not on Greys, and worse I had this whole fear that they might do it in a NY setting which means they would be across the damn world from each other. Sadly this was my first thought and since I'm a HUGE Kate fan I should be thinking in terms of how great it might be for her, but dammit I can't help it! However you know what might make us both feel better? Some of your awesome, wonderfully written and AMAZING fic! (Yes I've read it (ALL) and I'm horrible about Feedback, I'm sorry :( ) and if it's ok I'm going to friend you?

I see fanfic potential for the split. Gutted though there won't be the looks between the two or any small interaction to squee about each week.

Having said that, it would make sense for Izzie to follow Addy at some point. You know, cause they're in love. Obviously.

One thing we do hav to look forward to (whether the spin off happens or not) is a 2hour Addison centric episode near the end of the season which apparently is going to serve as a pilot for the spin off. And the end of season three will leave with a cliffhanger of whether Addy leaves or not (ie whether the spin off gets commissioned.)

Addy's so underused in Grey's, despite being one of the most popular characters. Over on the TV.com boards, loads of people love her.

And as for fic, it's a-coming. Working on the third part. Done about 11 pages thus far, but still more to go! It gets a bit angsty..

I agree Addison is very underused and YES they are in love.

Yes a 2hur spin off would be good, but I'm sad still sad.

YAY On the next part! I'm very happy to hear this, it took me forever to read fic on LJ, alot of it is so short...I love that you do a normal fic post like we would see on a message board. Plus I can't get enough! We don't see alot of long A/I fics, barely any. They deserve long fics as far as I'm concerned. Thank you, you've made my day..or nite

We shouldn't count our sexy neo-natal surgeons before they hatch (or born through C-Section, something approproate like that). Spin off may not happen..

Look out for it in the next few days hopefully. There are too many damn drabbles out there. Yes, beautifully written drabbles but it barely takes 30 seconds to read 100words on how one of them feels the morning after. Guh. Annoying.

btw, I noticed you were a fan of Roswell. There was a small but good amount of Izzie/Liz fic back in the day. Shame how fandom dies a slow death after the show's gone..

Why yes I am a fan of Roswell, and surprise it still lives on. I mod on a fic board and I'm still surprised to see how much it lives on. However there is a huge lack of Liz and Isabel fics. Still alot of Dreamer.(Liz and Max)

Good to hear some Roswell lives on (even if it is Max/Liz.. I find Max a bit too sickly). Loved the past lives mythology on that show. I remember starting a Liz/Izzie fic aaages ago. Had five or six parts but never posted or finished it. It's probably crap, I can't remember. Hm. wonder where it is..

I'm sorta used to that it happens a few times a year. I've been working on a site for 8 years and alot of Roswell people don't like the person the site is for..so they hate me. Sound crazy? It is, but I can't change what people think so...I just keep chugging along, oh the stories I could tell you!

Lol, OK, even though it was 5, 6 years ago. I can't find it atm, it'll be on a trusty disk down the back of a chest of drawers. But I will have a look and give you a shout when I've found it, because we need a good laugh from time to time ;)
