Miraculously I had a day off today to was able to go and see the staff screening with flatmate of Order of the Phoenix. Still a bit confused at how I feel about it all...

Just a few points, mostly unfiltered in the brain and most likely incoherent.

1. The tone and the editing in the first 10-15 mins is so jarring that it made my brain hurt. Thankfully it got better.

2. SNAPE'S WORST MEMORY. NO LILY. ABOUT EIGHT SECONDS LONG.     I am still raging.

3. Michael Gambon has me absolutely convinced as Dumbledore now. I wasn't loving the Harry-throat grab in GoF but there's no way the Ministry duel would have worked with Harris.

4. Sirius, despite being shut in all the time, had time to go clothes shopping and as a result is ridiculously well dressed - with lovely curly hair.

5. Relating to point 4, I wanted to have one hair in Sirius' hair and one in Lucius'.

6. I sooo wanted Samuel L Jackson as Kingsley Shacklebolt. That would have been hilarious.

7. Imelda Staunton was quite brilliant.

8. Filch did his ridiculous run again (after me speculating on whether we would see it again) and I enjoyed a good guffaw.

9. Evanna Lynch was also very good. Perhaps the best of the teen actors? (Though was quite loving Matthew Lewis as Neville)

10. The Weasley twins got pretty hot. Though was a bit annoyed at how the fucked about with the Fred/George leaving scene.

11. I really didn't imagine Tonks that ridiculously hot. I shouldn't be complaining (and it does make me want to ship Tonks in femmeslash more now) but imagined her more of a quirky beauty type thing. Will we really believe Tonks/Lupin when it comes?

12. There was no two way mirror gift. I'm sorry, but that's clearly going to be a book seven plotpoint. Morons. Is it just going to pop up unannonced? Idiots.

13. Just treble checked and Bellatrix does not Avada Kedavra Sirius in the book. No specific curse is referred to. THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. And unless I'm remembering the movie incorrectly, Sirius does not immediately die. But sways into the black curtain. He falls from a height in the book, doesn't he? ACH. Littered with inaccuracies.

14. Sirius calling Harry 'James' during battle. Just. Aw.

15. Alot of inapproproate slashy winking between Sirius and James.

16. Dear WB - The character who told on the DA was Marietta Edgecomb aka SpottyFace. Not Cho.

17. I just hate Steven Kloves adaptation work. You'd think after 5 scripts, he'd have sorted the wheat from the chaff. Nope.

18. Oh Alan Rickman. Your over the top campness is just to die for. I love you.

19. Grawp wasn't that bad BUT it really seems like Yates is trying desperately to push his OTP of Grawp/Hermione. Yes, seriously.

20. Bonnie Wright is absolutely going to pull off Ginny in HBP. I have faith.

21. Christmas on the Closed Ward was another favourite chapter. I know it couldn't have fit in. But I'd have loved it. Lockhart.. the Longbottoms.. le sigh.

22. Yup. Ron barely did anything.

23. No Firenze. Hm.

24. Trelawney. Emma Thompson. Love. Wanted more McGonagall too...

25. Draco still not any big feature. Think he had about 5 lines, not even. And he's coming out of nowhere for HBP.

26. Well, as with Crazy!Sirius in PoA we have Crazy!Bella. I just hope she runs a comb through her hair and becomes Sexy!Bella just as Sirius was in this movie. Altho I loved the manky old leather corset. Yum.

27. I cried when I saw Mrs Weasley. I don't know why.

Could not have said it better myself, major kudos to that then. I actually saw the film the first day it came out when I was on holiday visiting my friend in SC. Needless to say, mid way through the fighting, we became very suspicious on the surround sound being very accurate and walked outside afterwards to witness the tornado we had just survived pick up and throw a car in teh parking lot. Minted. Very memorable indeed! ALthough this seems all very random I just read your Hermione/Tonks story on HP Girlslash and had the overwhelming urge to tell you it was great. On another weird note, I stay near Falkirk, hoorah for being Scottish!

My flatmate comes from near Falkirk, hooray for random connections!

ps. I've never written any Hr/Tonks. Maybe the G/Hr piece?

I actually realised I wrote the wrong pairing just after I hit the send button. *very sheepish look* Can i blame it on being very very early when I wrote that after just finishing the Seventh book and decidedly needing to feast on Hermione/Ginny (and virtually any pairing with either after finding them married with children)before attempting to sleep and pretend that 19 years just did not in fact happen? *still feeling like a bit of a daft girl* Silly confused brain.

Sure, you can blame it on that, Go on. So do you have an LJ or are you just an anon drivebying my journal? ;)

And the epilogue requires a femmeslashy tonic afterwards.. It's practically mandatory for anyone who isn't eleven..

*quiet laughter* Thankfully I'm ten years older than an eleven year old then. Ahh, I'm not on live journal anymore (though I may check later for my old RPing Journal, perhaps that may work) I converted over to Greatestjournal about two years ago. SO yes, I guess right now I'm drivebying your journal. I hope you don't mind, the only thing I'm firing is words and phrases.

And there we go, a journal. Granted, it was one from 2005, but still, it works. *faint bow* Not quite as anon now.

i am SO with you that they didnt have lily in the worst memory!! and it was so bloody short. i rage with you..although i see that was ages ago :P
