I KNOW! I cried SO MUCH during that episode, and still haven't quite been able to bring myself to watch it a second time. Which is a shame because I had so much epic glee over the DoctorDonna and her awesomeness! Spinny daleks!
I really do agree about her being a brilliant character with a wonderful, wonderful character arc. Not to mention the fact that Catherine Tate has turned out to be one of the best actresses the show has ever had, possibly the very best. I'm holding on to the fact that at least she didn't die - that was what had been rumoured was going to happen. And she's proven in Turn Left that she can be awesome on her own, she just needs to find it in herself, so there's hope that she will be yet. The number of fixit fics that appeared on the internet only hours after the episode aired was astounding.
