Some people in fandom are pissed at Ten because of what he did to Donna. I've actually heard it said that he should have let her die. This makes my brain explode with WTF.
I was also really dubious about CT, but god did she surprise the hell out of me. It's really, really not just you. It was in Fires of Pompeii, when she was crying near the end, and I just went OMFG, she's incredible! She's doing a play in the West End this summer, and I'm giving serious thought to trekking down there to see her.
I really liked the Rose/clone!Ten situation. I thought they made it obvious, as you said, that Rose was confused and torn over it, and I loved that. It's not a happy ending, but it's one with the potential to be both problematic, but ultimately happier than the one that she had in Doomsday, and I love that too. And I'm taking the fact that she didn't kick up a fuss about going back to the alt!verse as showing that she'd made a life for herself there rather than pining, which is my personal canon. And I adored the line about how she can help him, like Ten feels that she helped him. Also, according to Doctor Who Magazine, in the original script which was cut for time, the Doctor gave his clone self a piece of the TARDIS so he could grow his own and they can keep having adventures. *glee*
But then I like Farscape, so buying into there being two of a person and them both being the same person is old hat, really. ;)
Eheh. I am Cara, watch me babble. *g* What did you think of it? And did you like all the other companions parts?
