My Top 5 (tagged by [profile] zee014 - Who else would give me such a task?)

1) List 5 celebrities you would consider having sex with without even asking questions (provided they smelled good).
2) Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them [5 - 1, 1 is the hottest].
3) Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
4) Supply photos for said people.
5) Tag five people

5 – Elizabeth Perkins

Lovely.  Just lovely.  Her hair's quite strawberry blonde here, but often quite red.  As Celia Hodes, she is one of the hottest women ever to say 'fuck'.  Weeds would be the thing that turned me onto her.  But I do remember thinking she was very beautiful as a child watching Miracle on
34th Street.

4 – Jennifer Garner

Though this is an undeniably racy picture, the reason I like Garner is that she’s so naturally beautiful and wholesome, especially when smiling.  She’s got that strong jaw, sun kissed skin thing that I like.  Many people may not think that a ‘thing’ but it is to me.  Alias would be the show that introduced me to JG.

3 – Kristen Bell

My obsession with KB has been well-documented in this journal.  She’s just so classy, beautiful and smart.  I first saw her in Veronica Mars, squealed like a little bitch when she turned up in Heroes as I hadn’t read any spoilers for her casting but it was my dream that spurred on the love.

2 – Kate Winslet

First adored in Titanic, then in Jude and Heavenly Creatures.  My love grew as she acted her socks off in the terrific Quills and was cemented truly in Eternal Sunshine’s crotch showing scene in the 70’s dress with red hair.  Myself and another pervy little friend clutched each other and squealed in the cinema as this moment.  Were we embarrassed?  No, not a bit!

1 – Angelina Jolie

First, last and probably always.  I think Jolie splits opinions but she is undeniably beautiful, even if she isn’t your cup of tea.  Loved her in Tomb Raider – a friend of mine buying her and me matching Lara Croft posters from the local video shop – and tracked her back catalogue to Gia and this is where the love bloomed.  I’ve seen most of what she’s done – both good and bad – but she remains immensely talented.  She’s talented and fierce yet sometimes appearing vulnerable and gentle.  Plus, the lips aren’t exactly a turn off either.

Honourable Mentions to: Catherine Zeta Jones (Huge Chicago era crush), Sandra Bullock (because I rewatched Speed the other day), Winona Ryder (Because I like the way she talks. And steals) Christina Ricci (I even fancied her in Casper – but it’s not wrong as I’m younger), Kate Walsh (who would be in the top 5, were it not for the true guffity of Private Practice), Natalie Portman (whose clear talent makes me hot and bothered), Claire Danes (Sooo pretty), Eliza Dushku (I’m sure I would struggle to walk afterwards), Jennifer Beals (Just because), Leighton Meester (Also, just because), Megan Mullally, Cate Blanchett, Emily Blunt and many, many more.

Really.  It would’ve been easier to make a top 100.

And now other stuff.  Well I’ve been watching a couple of movies lately.  I do go through phases where I’ll have the patience and/or time to sit down and enjoy a film and then I’ll watch loads.  Then I’ll watch nothing for months.  It cycles.

Seen Dark Knight.  As many, many others have.  Very enjoyable, well written, well acted and I’d say that I liked it better than Batman Begins.  However, this craziness over at IMDB which ranks it number one of all time - above Shawshank Redemption and Gia - is just nonsense.   I have full faith that the balance to the universe will be restored in a few months once everyone’s shit has calmed down.

Rewatchings of Casino and Speed followed, both being enjoyed thoroughly.  Casino remains my favourite Scorcese movie – an opinion which is often scoffed at.  I care not.

Then watched Poseidon tonight (I was in the mood for sinking ship stuff after the Doctor Who similar type Xmas special.)  I’m a fan of disaster films – good trash to get swept up in, I say.  I’m also funnily enough, a fan of Kurt Russell (Maybe because I fancy both his partner and daughter).  I’ve grown accustomed to his face.  Poseidon got me thinking about what I would do in such a situation (as most disaster films do).  I was getting immensely pissed off at Mia Maestro’s whiny character - so much so that I had to express my opinion to the screen with a series of grunts and then later shrieking ‘OH MY GOD YOU GIT, JUST GET ON WITH IT! IT’S NOT THAT DIFFICULT IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!  YOUR IDIOCY IS GOING TO GET EVERYONE KILLED!’

Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that if I was ever in a disaster situation, I would vet my crew or accompanying party while I make a break for safety.

Claustrophobic?  Panic attacks?  Then no, sorry, stay here and die with the others. I can’t have you spazzing out at possibly the worst moment

Drunk?  No, no.  It’s best you stay here and enjoy your last moments as you will surely make some hideous inebriated mistake and die horribly.  But not before acting like a jackass and causing discord in the group.

Weak/injured but too noble for own good?  Sorry.  I’ll just get attached to you and then you’ll die to either save the rest of us or because you were too slow or pathetic.

Child?  No.  Just NO.  I realise that in Poisedon they needed they little moron to get past one challenge, but really, who the hell wanders off while on a sinking ship?  You get bored with all the imminent danger and death? Idiot.

Kurt Russell?  Yeah.  OK.  You’ve got me there.  I do want you on my team.  While others would pick Willis, Stallone or even Van Damme: I’m sticking with Russell.

I imagine there are probably more criteria.

And a final word on the new Half Blood Prince trailer - Voldemort Begins, or what?  Barely saw any Hermione.  Humph.  But the mini-Voldemort kid looks ace.  The pensieve vials look... highly suggestive.  It's estimated that slash writers have produced 176% more fanfic since the release of this trailer.

You have very good taste!

5. I've not heard of her, but she's very pretty.
4. Yes! I didn't get the Jennifer Garner thing when my flatmate was going on about her, but then I actually watched Alias, and oh my god. ;)
3. She is quite adorable!
2. Absolutely absolutely absolutely. I've adored her in everything I've ever seen her in. Sense and Sensibility!
1. Hell yes! Again, everything I've ever seen her in. Wow. Have you seen Wanted yet? It's sort of rubbish, but the whole thing is worth it because whenever she's not doing fantastic action scenes, she's lounging around in the background looking amazing.

I have awesome taste! It took ages to decide on that list, as seen by the length of the honourable mentions.

I'm hearting your icon big time. I love so many things about that film - poetic dialogue, couple chemistry, tremendous performance by Angie, story, themes, symbolism - Not just a cheap lesbian flick, y'know :)

I have seen Wanted. In the first five minutes, I was completely baffled to the point of verbal exclamation of how WTF it was (i.e. the guy leaping from one skyscraper to another) but soon settled, decided that was the world it lived in and enjoyed the Jolie. Not enough screen time IMO.

Garner in Alias is completely OMG. I'd like to see a Sydney v Buffy smackdown. I did a full series rewatch a couple of months ago and got hooked all over again. It does get a bit silly in later season, but by that point you care not.

I remember sitting watching seasons 1 and 2 on boxset with a bottle of wine (as I had a cold - wine always helps) and I could not stop because every episode is a cliffhanger. Greig phoned me, asking if I wanted to go out on this lovely sunny day. Fearful and panicked, I told him that Sydney was stuck under the ice and it had refrozen and I wouldn't be coming out ever again until she was safe.

I pretty much got slapped for that behaviour :)

Oh, and I didn't tag, but if you wanna carry the torch and show us your Hot 5, you should!

I fully agree about Gia. Completely aside from the pretty, it's actually a brilliant film. I haven't seen it in years, though - I really must rewatch it. And I love your icon too! I have the picture that one is made from.

And yes, Wanted devoted far, far too many precious minutes of potential-Angelina-screentime to James McAvoy's irritating voiceovers and emo. I'm a big, big fan of the part where she lay down on the roof of a train, however. Shallow? Me? Never!

Yeah, Season 5 of Alias is a little weird, and the ending was rather rubbish, but you're right, by that point I didn't care. And that season had Amy Acker, which made up for a lot. ;) As well as Jennifer Garner, I also rather fell for Lena Olin. In fact, the whole Bristow family are just made of so very many different shades of awesome.

Hee, I totally get the level of fannish behaviour. I watched Alias on DVD, rather than as it was airing, and got through it alrmingly fast. I don't think I realized quite how into it I had got until I found myself in floods of tears because I thought Sloane, of all people, was dead at some point. ;)

But but but I can't narrow it down to 5! The decisions are going to take me forever! ;D

It took me two hours to put that together: between deciding, sifting through google images and crying in a corner because it was just too hard.

I liked the Angie healing bath part in Wanted. But then I guess I'm shallower ;)

I kinda had a problem with season four. I thought the finale was even a bit too much of nonsense for even me to take and Nadia pissed me off more and more as the year wore on. I don't mind season five because of Amy Acker (love) and some of the larger moments in it - I loved Irina delivering Sydney's baby in the middle of an operation before stealing the Horizon...

... And writing that down made me realise how ridiculous is sounds. Sigh. I don't care. And I'm with you 110% on the overwhelming awesomeness of the Bristow clan - I adore the s2 two parter in which they hunt for nukes. Jack Bristow is my hero. He kicks the arse out of Jack Bauer in the 'Doing What Must Be Done - No Matter How Immoral' department and Lena Olin is very, terribly hot. But I thought it was just me, as I'm always into hot bad women.

Lmao! Well, it is ridiculous, but that's why we love it. ;)

Mostly I liked the end of season 4 because we got Irina back. Many things are made better by the arrival of Irina. I did like some things about the end of season 5, but mostly it just felt a bit "Shit, we have no idea where our plot was going... ok, bombs!" Which I believe, is mostly because JJ Abrams was more interested in Lost by that point. I'm looking forward to seeing the Lost fans reactions when he abandons them for his new show and they realize they're not getting any answers. I think I may be a bad person. ;)

And me too on the hot bad women front. Irina, Amy Acker's character, Faith, Darla, Bellatrix, etc, etc....

Also with you on the Jack Bristow front. He was actually the first thing I adored about Alias, before I realized how much I liked Sydney. I need some kind of "Jack Bristow is more awesome than you" icon. It's all about how he would literally do anything for Sydney. There really, really badly needs to be fic where Jack Bristow meets Sarah Connor.

The value on Irina appearing cannot be underestimated. She makes anything better. Even destroying the world. Though I was a little pissed at her role in the s5 finale. She's just consummately evil again, all of a sudden? Seriously? Where was the real lead up to that turn? Yes, she was behind Syd's kidnapping and a lot of other stuff - but why? That was a little unsatisfying. And her death as well.

Jack's death killed me though. Killed me. Especially the standing up to see her off... That icon would be made of win. I'd love to see Jack v Sarah. He'd end up sexin' her, even in spite of Sarah Connor's gayness. Jack is just that good.

A hearty yes to each of those hot bad women, all loves of mine. I wasn't fond of Darla in BtVS season 1 but she wasn't really developed then. AtS season 2 made her kick more ass than ever. Eliza Dushku just missed the cut for my hot 5. She's not been around for a while and Weeds is currently on and I think so few people know of the hotness of Elizabeth Perkins, so I made the call. My obsession with Dushku will skyrocket once Dollhouse airs, I expect. Did you ever see Tru Calling? I thought it was really good - great characters and setting up a deep mythology for the show and then cancelled :( It pisses me off that the likes of Pushing Daisies, Ghost Whisperer and to a lesser extent Reaper got made because they're so similar in premise to Tru Calling but just not as good.

I've thought the exact same thing about JJ abandoning the Lost fans! I never got into Lost, so I have nothing but contempt for it. Have you seen the Fringe pilot? It's on mininova, I downloaded it a while ago. It's not bad. Has the weird case stuff of the X Files, the intelligence world backstabbery and doublecrossery of Alias and um, something else. I'm not too sure about it yet. Joshua Jackson is in it, and I'm very fond of him.

I agree about Irina in season 5. I was really quite disappointed with where her character went, as it seemed up until then to be going somewhere different. I mostly put it in the box with everything else about the ending that was sloppy, and blame JJ for not having a proper plan. Rather like X-Files season 9.

And YES about Jack's death! I cried so hard! Although in hindsight, it would be so easy for him to come back from that, especially in a world like Alias's, so in my head, he did eventually. And yes about him and Sarah Connor! They would meet, and be all wary and fight with each other while they tried to protect their respective kids, and then realize that they could actually be a help to each other and end up having lots of sex. And Cameron would be very, very jealous. ;)

I saw the first episode of Tru Calling, but found I couldn't get into it, despite the presence of Eliza. Maybe I should give it another shot at some point then? I'm really looking forward to Dollhouse though!

I didn't realize the Fringe pilot was available. I shall have to get hold of that! I've seen the trailer, and immediately thought it looked like a tacky-but-fun rip off of X-Files and Alias, so I'm definitely going to give it a try.

I thought Perkins was SO HOT in that christmas movie. I seriously got hot and bothered watching her in that one. I love when she has red hair. Totally binged on that movie. During the summer.

For days. lol

A lot of your honorable mentions would be on my list too, lol.

I love sexy lists. They're the best kind.

AJ as #1? You're so predictable. Kidding. She's too hot to deny. And Kate Winslet is pure love. One of my favorite pictures of her is for an American Express ad. I think I'll do a Kate Winslet post in the near future. Just for you.

KB is just really, really pretty. I'm envious that she's your dream girlfriend. Even if she is a crazy bitchy one...

I never saw Electra but I did see Daredevil and I honestly couldn't breathe when she slow mo'd through the doorway. She literally took my breath away. She also looks good in tight, revealing clothing while yielding a weapon. It's made of win.

Winslet picspam on the way! And any others you want to see, I'm easy.
Date/Time: 2008-08-01 15:29 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] lynsangelic1.livejournal.com
That KB/HP picspam essay was fantastic and has turned a bleurgh afternoon into a giddy, gleeful, gay one. As all afternoons should be. I heart it and you big time. I can't believe how fricking gay those pictures are! Hands! Hands! Everywhere! Clearly not friendly hands - very, very gay hands.

I adore one of the last ones with (I think?) Blake Lively stooping down to talk to Hayden, who is clutching onto KBell's hip. Blake's hitting on Hayden - wtf is that all about? Trouble in Bleighton paradise? I'd like to be the tablecloth on the table when those four go on a double date. More awesome than ever before seen.

I know AJ is quite predictable as #1 - But I honestly couldn't decide who could or should usurp her position as the longest standing member of my gay affection. I can go through phases (a while ago it was Emily Blunt and Kate Walsh, now it's KBell) but I'll always come back to Angie.

I thought Electra and Daredevil were utter guff, but I still have them both on dvd. Why? Jennifer Garner and the breathtaking-ness.

I predict a mighty girlish and sickening squee to arrive about the same time as your Winslet picspam. I don't know if I've seen the American Express ad pics but I did find this one -->

Image (http://pics.livejournal.com/lynsangelic1/pic/00049z2x/)

which would have made it in, though it's a bit too airbrushed for my liking. Still, immense hottness.

Oh and if you're into seeing KBell gay it up all over the place. Check this out...
