I'm trying very hard not to distract myself with fic - I have one that's unfinished, it's about 8,000 thus far, G/Hr. It will be done, but I don't wanna get sucked in :) How you going on yours? I hope they've stopped giving you abuse :/
The Getaway is kinda GTA-esque (I'm a huge fan of GTA, been playing since the first one came out on PC in the beginning and I was only little). It has driving to places and shooting folk once you get there. Quite good story/cut scenes and thoroughly enjoyable to bomb about a realistic London with real cars. No open play until you finish the main missions though. I'm not into hardcore race driving games. Short shelf life with me.
I remember renting the first Metal Gear Solid from the video shop for the PSone and playing it over the weekend. I believe I even called the hints and tips line because I was getting so frustrated, in the days before ready made FAQ's on the net. Maybe they were there in those days, but I didn't go looking for them on the dial-up!
